At the Marshall Chess Club
The Marshall Chess Club often
offers children’s chess classes, taught by Senior Life Master Taghian Taghian.
The classes are on hiatus at
this time.
Tag
is an experienced chess teacher and has taught many strong players including
some Scholastic National Champions.

When classes are offered, they frequently follow the
following pattern:
Ø
Ø Every Sunday 10:00-Noon
Ø
Ø Open for children ages 7-13 years old, beginners up to 1600
rating.
Ø
Ø Class will be divided into groups of similar levels; emphasis will be
on middle game skills and endgame technique.
Ø
Ø Discounts: for Club members; for siblings; or for paying 10
classes in advance.
Ø
Ø Every class will be divided into a lecture, solving chess problems and
coached play.
