Classes > Adult Chess Classes
The Marshall Chess Club is proud to offer a class for adult 'beginner' chess players. This class is perfect for unrated players who have a basic understanding of the game, or are rated less than 400 USCF.

Class will be taught in 2 sessions: Tuesday nights from 6-7pm for 'less advanced' students, and Tuesday nights from 7-8pm for more advanced students. Players of every level are welcome to join either section. Classes begin September 1st, 2015.

USCF National Master Eric Balck

Eric is originally from Asheville, North Carolina. He is a FIDE certified National Instructor and has been teaching privately and in classrooms throughout New York for several years. Eric is a National Master. He is an Assistant Manager at the Marshall Chess Club and recently completed an MFA in Dramatic Writing at NYU’s Tisch College of the Arts.
Registration is available online by following the link below. The fees for attending one or both sections is $30.00. Marshall Chess Club members receive a $10.00 discount. Non-members/members who buy a 10-class pack get $5.00 off each class.
